The Algarve has always been a hugely popular summer holiday destination for Britons, but now word of the beauty of its coastline has spread and it is now visited by tourists from further afield. With so many resorts, hotels and villas scattered throughout the Algarve, it can be difficult to know which type of accommodation to choose. Usually, the choice is between a private villa in the Algarve or a resort, but who said you have to choose between them? we decided to check in Villa Vita Parcthe resort also offers private villas, so we got the best of both worlds.
algarve luxury
We drove down from Lisbon and unfortunately it was a bit rainy so arriving on the coast full of sunshine was very welcome. Greeted by incredibly friendly and attentive staff, we were immediately taken on the back of a golf cart to the villa we would call home for the next three nights. The resort combines hotel rooms, small villas, and large villas to form an idyllic white complex.

3 days at home
We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa with ocean views and a private infinity pool. What makes a stay in a villa here special is that you have all the amenities of a hotel, but still have the privacy of your own. We found that despite how big the resort is, staying in the villas doesn’t feel like it at all. It is a very elaborate and beautiful design. Our entire villa was white with blue interiors sprinkled throughout. All rooms were very spacious with stylish bathrooms, large wardrobes and even larger bedrooms. Each room can also be closed off from the others, making the rooms in the villa both private and open-plan. I think this is effective not only for girls’ trips but also for family trips. The design makes it easy to gather together, but just as easy to enjoy your vacation home away from everyone else.
Another benefit of staying in a resort villa is that you can enjoy a big movie night in your living room. And since room service is just a phone call away, there’s no need to cook or go out for dinner. Although it’s a little far from home, you can enjoy the luxury of staying at a hotel. We decided to have a girly Mean Girls night our second night here and ordered a selection of delicious food that we could enjoy without having to raise a finger or dress up.
Exploring the resort
Villa Vita Parc is spread over 54 acres, so it’s quite large, but the best thing about this resort is that it doesn’t feel that big. It’s an escape from real life. You don’t have to leave real life if you don’t want to. Everything you need is within the walls. Choose from eight restaurants or room service to accommodate all dietary needs. The buffet breakfast is particularly impressive and has basically everything you need for breakfast. I always judge hotels by the breakfast they offer, and Vila Vita Parc scores highly in this regard.
What makes this place really special is the service. Everyone was so nice and friendly which made the whole experience so much fun. There was one waiter at breakfast who was very cheerful and kept me in a good mood for the rest of the day. I have never experienced service anywhere else in Europe comparable to what I received in Portugal.

Daytime activities
Villa Vita Parc has something for everyone, whether you fancy a game of tennis or a day at the spa. If you’re planning on visiting with your family, I think it’s a great place to go for multiple generations, given that there’s something for everyone to enjoy during the day. The restaurant is a great place to enjoy dinner again in the evening.
On the second day, the most beautiful pink color lit up the early morning sky, so try to wake up for the sunrise at least once. We ran down to the beach barefoot in our pajamas and looked out at the beach from the oceanfront. Another amenity that Villa Vita Parc offers is its own private beach. Enjoy a day at the seaside, just a short walk from the villa. Or, if you prefer, you can spend the whole day relaxing by your own pool or the shared pool. I didn’t want to leave my beautiful villa. The location of the resort allows for numerous walks around the headland and views of the coastline. We decided to take a walk on our first day to get an idea of what was around us. Incredibly beautiful, the sea here is the most stunning blue and turquoise and you can see why it attracts so many tourists.

Having experienced my stay at Vila Vita Parc, I highly recommend staying in one of the villas within the resort. Not only will you have the privacy you desire during your vacation, but you’ll also have the relaxing feeling of not having to cook your own meals if you don’t want to. Staying in a villa within a resort also gives you access to all kinds of amenities that you don’t have when renting a villa from outside. We had a really fun and girly time here and I will definitely be back!
The World of Wanderlust team was welcomed to Vila Vita Parc as guests, but our opinions are always our own. This place comes highly recommended by the entire team.
