Of all the places I have stayed in Ireland, Mount Juliet It must be one of my favorites, if not the most. Mount Juliet, a countryside grounds just outside Kilkenny, has a reputation for being one of the most popular places to stay in the world-renowned golf courses, Michelin star restaurants and old-school Irish charms that feel like a home away from home.
Check-in: Mount Juliet Estate
After a few days in Wexford, I made my own way by car to mount Juliet Estate. The property is just a 20-minute drive from Kilkenny City, but the catchphrase makes it feel like a world away from reality I’ll escape every day.
The property was located at the home of the Manor House (pictured above) and the new Hotel Hunter garden, with my room on a walk just a short walk from the mansion.
Manor House
Manor House is where you can find rooms in traditional styles dating back to the 18th century. These rooms are appointed far more luxuriously in Georgian interior design.
Enjoy a 7-course dinner menu at the Manor House, afternoon tea and Lady Helen Restaurant. This aspect of real estate is certainly a flashy and upscale meal, so dress accordingly! For a more relaxed event, the next door Hunters Yard Hotel offers a dining option.
The last time I spent most of my time was here at the Manor House. My favorite experience was sitting in the famous afternoon tea on Mount Juliet. The gorgeous three-layer events were the indulgence of delicious pastries, homemade scones and small sweets to finish the meal. You might want to share between the two of you – the setting is huge!
After tea, I took a little time to wander around the Manor House and the surrounding garden. The real estate itself is very large and you can enjoy many different areas. The real estate has professional golf courses that captivate many famous golfers around the world. Of course, this reputation attracts many amateurs, so don’t be afraid to try your hand in a round of golf.

Georgian Manor House has 32 rooms, each categorized as a five-star luxury. The Hunter’s Yard Hotel has 93 rooms. The hotel is much larger and is popular, but feels more modern than Mount Juliet. If you are traveling as a couple, the romance of Mount Juliet might be your style. A hunter’s garden is recommended for families, solo travelers and young couples.
Dining at Lady Helen Restaurant
On our first night at Mount Juliet we enjoyed dinner at Michelle Star Restaurant. Mrs. Helen. The incident was very flashy and as delicious as you could imagine. I had over 7 courses to go my way, including finishing this delicious tiramisu taste plate. The restaurant is fortunate to deal with vegetarians and other food intolerances. To avoid disappointment, let them know in advance.
