The 28th Air Guitar World Championship was held at Owl on Thursday, with a qualifying round featuring contestants from 13 countries.
Each wish is judged through two 1 minute performances combining technical accuracy, originality and pure “airness.” Costumes and props are permitted, but actual instruments are strictly prohibited.
In Friday’s final, we see Canadian champion “Ichabod’s Fame” faces Canadian Zachary “Ichabod’s Fame” Knowles, including US champion Saladin “Six String Sallah” Thomas and German Patrick “Van Erhoefek” Kleck.
Five ju-searchs of performing arts experts will award the crown and “Flying Finn” guitars created by Luthier Matti Nevalainen.
