29 Things to Do in the Maldives

Must read

As one of the world’s leading honeymoon destinations, the Maldives is a popular choice for beloved couples who are looking to relax, relax and enjoy. But there’s more to it than lying on the beach with a good book (but I highly recommend that too). Therefore, if you are looking for activities to keep you busy and entertained throughout your visit to the Maldives, there are 29 things you should do in the Maldives.

Taj exotica | Maldives Honeymoon

Enjoy a sweet life

With a tropical climate and warm temperatures all year round, you can feel at ease as many great fruits are offered in the Maldives. While much of the food is imported to keep up with the high demand for tourism, all local offerings are tasty, so drink real coconut water and make sure you feel fresh from the inside out. They are tasty and will instantly make you feel like an island!

Jumeirah Vittavelli Maldives

Eat fresh produce

Almost my favorite about the Maldives (views, Crystal Clearwaters, just lost to my company) was the amazing food on offer. The Maldives are the collectivity of over 1,000 islands and are closely adjacent to Sri Lanka and India. Therefore, since much of the food influence comes from India and is more than Asia, you can expect plenty of flavors, fresh produce and delicious desserts.

Parasailing in Mardib

Parasailing

If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, there are plenty of activities available underwater! One of the most popular activities is parasailing. This offers a great opportunity to see your island from above.

Things to do in the Maldives | Snorkeling

I’m going for snorkeling

You cannot come to the Maldives without jumping on crystal clear waters and admire marine life. Wherever you are, you should be surrounded by ample opportunity to start floating around the reef and start the sight! You can see lots of colorful fish, including colorful fish, (small) sharks, giant stinging rays and more!

Snorkeling is very fun, but even better, on a jet ski, jumping to a remote sandbar to see incredible marine life.

Male, Maldives

Visit the local island

The Maldives are made on a total of 1,192 islands. What about an impressive person? 200 of these islands are home to locals, while another 80 islands are home to the resort and are run solely for tourism only. If you have the time and are interested in seeing more local life, ask the resort to arrange a visit to the local island. Men (capital) are the perfect place to start, but that’s just the beginning!

Maldives

Sit down and drink colorful cocktails

If you imagine kicking back on the beach with a colorful cocktail in hand, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to do so in the Maldives. The country is completely Islam, but the resort islands off men all served alcohol and mastered the art of refreshing cocktails.

Indulge in spa treatment

Whether covered in coconut oil, bathing in coconut milk or with gold leaves, all sorts of spa treatments are offered in the Maldives at each end of the spectrum (covered with golden leaves).

Private dining

If you are visiting the Maldives in the other half, make the most of the “private dining” setup around the island for an unforgettable dining experience. This was our favorite and most memorable lunch and the food was fantastic, but this picturesque view is everything I really remember!

See the sea’s glow

You’ve probably seen the photos and you’ve probably pinned it on Pinterest before, but after seeing pictures of the sea glow in the Maldives many times, I’m as adored as I’ve never seen them! Natural phenomena are known as the Noctilka Sintilands. (via image)

Sunset Cruise

The most romantic activity we enjoyed in the Maldives was an evening sunset cruise at Jumeirah Vittaveliyot. Most resorts offer sunset cruises for both groups and private. Here you can drink a glass of champagne as it sinks into the background. bliss!

Sea plane Maldives

Take a plane by the sea

Speedboats are transport to islands near the Male International Airport, but the islands require more sea travel. Use this time to see the island from above and take some great shots as the Maldives are even more impressive from above!

Sunset Cruise in the Maldives

Looking at the dolphins

…Or at least give it a try! On one of our last evenings we decided to watch a cruise over 90 minutes on an old traditional boat and see the dolphins. The cruise itself was lovely, but sadly, of course I didn’t find any dolphins that I can’t guarantee!

Diving in the Maldives

I’m going for a diving

The Maldives are not only great snorkeling, but also great diving! If you want to dig a little deeper into the Maldives (the intended pun), there are many companies around the Maldives that arrange day trips.

Male Maldives

Visit Male, the smallest capital in the world

As the smallest capital in the world, we cannot say we were too excited to visit Male. Some people like it, others don’t like it, but if you want the opportunity to see local life in the Maldives, this is where the action takes place. There’s not much to see in the capital, so it’s easy to visit in just a few hours, and tours are usually arranged through a concierge.

Spend some time in private pool villas

One of my favorite things about being on vacation is to wake up every morning and smell that fresh ocean air. For our first few nights in the Maldives we checked in to a water villa just off the sea, but for the last few nights there is the added benefit of a proper (swimming size) pool.

Taj Exotica Maldives

Enter the rose petals

If you are visiting the Maldives with your partner, you can expect a romantic touch and subtle surprise during your stay, including the rose petal bath and the spread of rose petal-covered beds prepared for your arrival. Local workers do everything in their power to make sure you have an unforgettable stay, and their attention to detail is second to none.

Taj exotica | Maldives Honeymoon

I walk on the water

Staying in a marine villa is a typical Maldives experience for most visitors, so splurge at least a few nights! Our favourite room during our stay was the Taj Exotica (pictured above). There, we were able to wake up to the ocean and clear skies, or soak in the ocean just outside the front of the room.

Hijack the golf buggy

Golf buggies are island transport, so if you get the chance, try hijacking and going for a spin! The staff are quite careful where you leave the key, so I’m sure you won’t do that first, but still worth the shot!

Water Dining Maldives

Dining with water

There is no denying that the Maldives are centered around water and water activities… in fact, you can even eat with water! In fact, you can arrange a set up for all your private dining options, from eating on the water to eating in the sand-drained beach pits. Options are as limitless as your creativity!

Taj exotica | Maldives Honeymoon

Swinging in the sea

Again, the Maldives really have it all. This swing was one of my favorite secret spots at Taj Exotica.

Sunset in the Maldives

Catch the daily sunset

I gave myself one rule to head to a trip to the Maldives: catch every sunrise, catch every sunrise. The sun rises around 6am so we started out pretty early every day, but this was a great opportunity to enjoy seeing the resort to ourselves. Then every night we catch the sunset. Hang it at the pool, beach or bar!

Jumeirah Vittavelli Culinary Class

Please use the cooking class

During our stay at Jumeirah Vittaveli we pledged to try as many local dishes as possible. For one of our lunches, we tried out a local cooking class. touch!

Maldives coconut

Go to Coco Crazy

You may have noticed that this list contains coconuts, such as drinking coconut, swallowing coconut milk, and ultimately learning how to make coconut oil. On this day we also had coconuts… because we were obsessed with coconuts.

Jumeirah Vittavelli Maldives

Learn about local culture

One of my favourites about the Maldives – in fact, perhaps my favorite thing in the Maldives (all were honest about it) Very good), it was people. Their smiles, enthusiasm, and willingness to share their culture with you will remain with you ever after your visit. I can still imagine those smiles!

Kayak | Things to do in the Maldives

I’m going for a kayak

Another major water activity offered free of charge at most resorts is kayaks. It’s a great way to start your day before and enjoy all the incredible dishes…and not too difficult!

Taj exotica | Maldives Honeymoon

There is absolutely nothing

It’s good to try all the activities and all the food, but it’s also good to just kick back and take it all in. In fact, wasting time was not a waste of time at all!

Pack a good book

Being in the Maldives means a lot of downtime. So pack some good books!

Samsonite in the Maldives

Leave knowing you can always come back

The only drawback of the Maldives is that they depart on that inevitable flight. Remember, this is a paradise that will always welcome you, and you can always come back more!

A trip to the Maldives was kindly arranged Wendy Woo Tour -However, the idea of the photograph is my own.
