How to get there:

Nusa Penida is a ferry ride just 45 minutes from Bali. Many tour operators sell high speed ferry tickets between the two, leaving a few times each morning and returning at various times in the afternoon. If you are short on time, you can visit Nusa Penida in just one day from Bali. We recommend taking the earliest ferry from Sanur (around 8am) and returning at sunset. A day trip to Nusa Penida is enough time to get a glimpse of each of these places, but two nights at Nusa Penida would be ideal.

Transport on the island:

The island is not too big to navigate yourself, so avoiding Nusa Penida is pretty easy. You can expect to pay more than Bali for the scooter. Rs. 70,000 people per day.

What to see in Nusa Penida

Diamond Beach

Diamond Beach is the crown jewel of this island off Bali. What once was an inaccessible beach at the foot of a dramatic cliff is now accessible thanks to the inventive locals who built the stairs all the way to the stairs.

A short drive is Kering Beach, the most photogenic location in Nusa Penida. The view overlooking the beach is kelling the nickname “T-rex” and stands at the top of the perspective, so you can quickly see why! If you have time to trek to the beach, it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Indonesia!

At the edge of the dramatic cliff, roughly safe stairs are lined up. If you have options, be sure to wear closed shoes. The stairs are lined with bamboo railings that add excitement to the trekking. Thousand Islands (Thousand Island) View Points
