Heavy rains caused widespread flooding across northeastern Italy on Monday, damaging several towns in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
Aerial footage released by Italian firefighters showed the nearby River Torre overflowing, submerging the village of Romance d’Isonzo.
Firefighters carried out dozens of rescue operations, including evacuating trapped residents in dinghies.
Authorities said a search operation was also underway for two people missing after a landslide hit a house in Brazzano di Cormons.
