Dozens of dolls and stuffed animals were lined up outside the Colombian attorney general’s office on Thursday to protest the high number of child sexual abuse cases and the slow investigation process.
SOS Children’s Villages Colombia organized this exhibit to showcase the silent voices of children who cannot speak for themselves. According to the organization, 175,000 children have entered the care system over the past three years because of sexual violence in the home.
Despite holding protests every year, the group warns that only a small percentage of cases end in judgment.
