Located east off the coast of Mainland Greece It’s one country that’s not talked about about the island, and it’s up to a hit movie Mama Mia I came to town to take a photo. Surprisingly, the island is still one of Greece’s finest secrets (probably the hype has vanished since the film was released). Therefore, if you are looking for less tourists and want to abandon the crowd, Skopelos is a great choice. Here is my guide to Skopelos to help you make the most of your time on the island.

A guide to Skopelos
Skopelos was the first port of calling on a seven-day Seabone cruise through the Greek Islands. Skopelos is a large island to discover, but only one day to explore.
Upon reaching the harbor, I began to climb the steep, winding stairs on the side of the church. Here is a small restaurant offering juices, smoothies and light snacks (and my favorite views in town – see below!)
Things to do with Skopelos
Although not often visited in Greece, that doesn’t mean that Skopelos doesn’t have the unique beauty to offer to visitors. Without the main attractions, the town of Skopelos is best explored on foot, without the purpose or intention of arriving.
Pyrgos’ Panagitsa (The church built on the cliffside when you arrive in the town of Skopelos offers fantastic views of the hidden beaches and the ocean below. This is one of the 360 churches on Skopelos, many of which are built personally.
Beach culture Skopelos is the most popular way to spend time, especially in the summer heat, which can soar to 40 degrees Celsius.
Agios Ioannis I appreciate that the most popular choice on the beach is primarily the main shooting location Mama Mine! film.
I’ll eat and drink
If you’re just eating one at Skopelos, make a cheese pie, a local speciality that you can find in any snack bar.
Staphylos The restaurant offers one of the most impressive views if you are planning a romantic evening.
feeling Perfect for the coast, especially if you’re always looking for something casual.
Cafe Versarasa My favorite choice for light bites, especially for smoothies and yogurt, and the most incredible views (pictured above).
