Polish Prime Minister Donald Tass said on Wednesday that drone violations of Russia’s own airspace pose a threat to not only Poland but also to wider Europe.
“The drone attack was targeted not only in Poland but also in European states,” Tass said Thursday.
Other European countries have raised alarms about incidents involving 19 Russian drones entering Polish territory, some of which have been shot down.
The Polish prime minister confirmed that Polish military officials will travel to Ukraine for air defense training following the Russian attack.
His country will come from experience with Ukraine’s anti-drone system, Task said.
After an emergency national security council meeting convened by President Karol Nawrocki, Tusk said he also covered Russian propaganda and its impact on Poland’s domestic affairs.
Russia continues to deny its connection with drone invasions, claiming that they came from Ukraine.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump told reporters Thursday that the violation was “a mistake.”
However, Tusk rejected the claim that Kyiv was behind the surgery as a Diolformation.
“The information collected by Poland clearly shows that the Russian Federation is fully liable for violations of Polish airspace,” he said.
Karolina Gaucca, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Management, reported that the drone had been found at Przymiarki, located at Księ agency in Vigoraj district.
This marks another unmanned aerial vehicle discovered since Poland’s airspace violation on Wednesday.
A report by German newspaper Welt said five Russian drones flew directly on purpose towards Poland’s NATO base, a vital transport of military equipment for Ukraine, citing Polish services and sources within NATO.
Meanwhile, European leaders continue to show support for Poland. French President Emmanuel Macron said on social media X that France will send three Rafale fighter jets to protect Poland’s airspace.
On Friday, resigning French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Barro told local radio that the French Russian ambassador was called to Quai D’Orsay on Friday morning.
Later on Friday, the UN Security Council will hold another emergency meeting in response to Poland’s request for drone invasion.
