President Trump orders investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged ties to Bill Clinton and major banks

President Donald Trump has ordered the Justice Department to investigate disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s ties to several major banks and Democratic politicians, including former President Bill Clinton. Epstein’s relationship was revealed in emails recently released by Congress.

The House Oversight Committee on Wednesday released emails belonging to Jeffrey Epstein’s personal address, revealing conversations he had with a number of prominent entrepreneurs, lawmakers and influencers in the United States and abroad.

President Trump accused Democrats of trying to push the “Epstein hoax” again “to distract from all the bad policies and losses, especially the shame of the shutdown.”

He accused the party of being in “total disarray” and reiterated that Epstein himself is a Democrat.

“Epstein was a Democrat. He is a Democratic problem, not a Republican problem!” he wrote on Friday.

“Ask Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, and Larry Summers about Epstein. They know everything about him. No need to waste time with Trump. I have a country to run!”

In a separate post, he announced that he has directed U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate Epstein’s ties to Bill Clinton, Clinton’s Treasury secretary Larry Summers, and LinkedIn founder and prominent Democratic donor Reid Hoffman.

“I will be asking Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice, along with our great patriots the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationships with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, JPMorgan, Chase, and many other people and institutions to find out what was going on with them and with him,” Trump said.

“This is another Russia, Russia, Russia scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democratic Party. Records show that these men and many others spent most of their lives with Epstein and on his ‘island.’ stay tuned! ! ! “

Mr. Clinton has strongly denied any knowledge of Mr. Epstein’s criminal activities or crimes. JPMorgan Chase, the largest US bank, followed a similar path, expressing regret for having had any ties to the disgraced former financier.

“While we regret our association with this man, we did not assist him in his heinous acts,” said JPMorgan Chase spokeswoman Patricia Wexler. “(We) ended our relationship with him years before he was arrested on sex trafficking charges,” she added.

In immediate response, Bondi announced on his X-Page that he had appointed Jay Clayton, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, to oversee the investigation ordered by President Trump.

“Clayton is one of the most effective and reliable prosecutors in this country, and I have asked him to take the reins,” Bondi wrote.

“As with all issues, the State Department will pursue this issue with urgency and integrity to deliver answers to the American people.”

The investigation comes just a week before the House of Representatives (the lower house of Congress) votes on whether the Justice Department should release all files related to Epstein, who died by suicide in prison while awaiting trial in 2019.

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Friday called on President Trump to ensure that House Republicans vote in favor of releasing the documents. He said failing to do so would be a “huge miscalculation” on the part of the US president.

Greene, along with four other House Republicans, signed an expulsion petition with 218 signatures calling for the release of all files on Epstein.
