Le Sirenuse first opened the door in 1951 when four Neopolitan brothers renovated their family’s summer home in Positano, bringing the visibility of a boutique luxury hotel on the Amalfi coastline. Initially, the hotel had eight rooms open in the building, but to this day it is considered part of the hotel, but it can add 50 more rooms.

Room: Deluxe Superior View Room

For our stay we checked in to our deluxe super sea view room. This is a gorgeous name with beautiful white and bright interiors, ample space and unparalleled views of the town and the sea. With lush corner plants, colorful mosaic tiles, artwork throughout the room, and a beautiful terrace with flowers overlooking the ocean, the attention to detail is definitely not overlooked.

Rooms feature a hotel’s own line of luxurious toiletries, with colognes and perfumes to add a personalized touch. There is a small TV in the room. If you need to take in the view, trust me when you say it’s morning, noon or night.

Around the hotel

Le Sirenuse is renowned for its incredible views and was delighted to not only enjoy the view from the comfort of the room upon arrival, but also enjoy the various public terraces available to guests across each floor of the hotel. Plus, the hotel offers almost direct access to the beach, featuring a private elevator that guides guests just 150 steps away from the beach itself!

During the summer season, the hotel opens a pool for guests, and terrace restaurants open throughout the day to switch to breakfast, lunch and the popular Michelin menu.

The level of service offered in this particular hotel is distinguished by the fact that it remains in the same family for over half a century. Hotel guests and outside guests visiting hotel restaurants always feel like guests invited to a private party.

In terms of arriving at the hotel, Positano is 60km from the Naples train station, and the easiest mode of transport is the private driver, especially if you are not confident in the small car Amalfi Coast Road (the road is narrow and exceeds a significant share of hairpin turns). Alternatively, you can take a ferry to Capri and change into Positano on the ferry, or, like we did, you can take a train to Sorrento a few nights, then venture to Positano on a ferry or public Theta bus. The bus stop (2nd Positano stop if you are traveling from SORRENTO) is a 200m walk from the hotel.
