475 people detained Korean workers in a massive migrant attack at the Hyundai factory in Georgia.

On Thursday, the U.S. Immigration Bureau stormed the site and conducted a search to close construction of a factory that is being built to produce EV batteries. The factory is Georgia’s largest and most popular manufacturing site and is known as the most important economic development project in the state’s history.

The South Korean government announced its contract on Sunday following negotiations with the US. Federal agents called the operation the biggest single site raid in their history. Meanwhile, Seoul expressed “concerns and regrets” and sent diplomats to the site.

US officials said the operation is part of a long-term criminal investigation into illegal employment practices. The attack is seen as part of President Donald Trump’s broader crackdown on immigration, but it is worth noting that it targets major projects involving key US allies.

Hyundai Motor Group began manufacturing EVs a year ago at a $7.6 billion factory employing around 1,200 people.

In a video posted on social media on Thursday, workers in yellow safety vests lined up as men wearing HSI face masks and tactical vests, representing Homeland Security investigations, said, “We are the Department of Homeland Security. We have search warrants all over the site.”

“We need construction to stop immediately,” the man says. “All of the work is needed to finish on the site now.”

President Donald Trump’s administration has wiped out ice operations as part of a massive deportation agenda. Immigration officers stormed farms, construction sites, restaurants and auto repair shops.
