
Price the Recipe:
- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
- Complete garam masala (see beneath)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 3-4 entire inexperienced chillies
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp salt or to style
- 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves
Complete Garam Masala
- 6 cloves
- 10 peppercorns
- 1″ piece of cinnamon
- 1 black cardamom
- 5 inexperienced cardamoms
- 1 star anise
- 1 piece of mace
Wash quinoa properly 3-4 instances as you’ll with rice. Drain properly.
Warmth ghee in a pan. Add the bay leaf, cumin seeds, and the entire garam masala. Saute till they launch their aroma.
Add the sliced onions together with inexperienced chilies. Saute till translucent.
Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.
Now add the chopped coriander and mint leaves with salt. Prepare dinner for a minute or two.
Add the drained quinoa. Combine gently and saute it for a minute or two.
Add two cups of water. When the water begins to bubble, decrease the warmth to the minimal. Cowl it with a lid and let it prepare dinner till the water nearly dries up and the quinoa is completed. It will take about 15-20 minutes.
When accomplished, swap off the warmth and let it relaxation for 10 minutes. Take away the lid and fluff up the quinoa.
The Hyderabadi Bagara Quinoa is able to serve. Garnish with coriander and mint leaves. Serve sizzling with salan or raita.
