French national railway operator SNCF says it hopes to fully recover by Tuesday morning after power outages forced cancellations of at least 17 services between Brussels, Amsterdam and London.

“Some trains will take detours via regular lines to avoid accident areas,” says SNCF Voyageurs, a passenger advice service, not to mention how many trains will be affected.

The company still advises passengers to “defer travel if possible,” but it says “you can also exchange tickets for free or request a full refund.”

Due to technical incidents, multiple Eurostar trains have been cancelled or significantly delayed on Monday, causing confusion to be expected to run until the end of Monday.

The SNCF has condemned the disruption of blackouts near Moosy in the northeastern part of the country as it forced the closure of a key section of the railway network in northern Paris.

Additionally, the TGV line in northern France has been suspended until further notice.

The blackout first affected the line around 8am, causing confusion by noon, demanding “major repairs” to fix it.

Trains between the French capital’s main Charles de Gare airport was also affected, and all TGV lines with the airport were suspended, Euroneus learned.

However, local RER trains were still operating. Furthermore, the trains south, west and east of Paris appeared to be operating on schedule.

The delays and cancellations caused mayhem at the Paris Guerd-Duord Station, as there was no word on when train services would resume, and the station’s announcement repeated that some lines would be restored by the end of the day.

The widespread disruption on one of Europe’s busiest international railway routes is taking place during the peak summer travel season.

Neither EuroStar nor SNCF has given a reason for the power outage.

In June, Eurostar passengers faced days of major delays and cancellations after two people died in a French truck and cables were stolen near the reel.

In March, the Eurostar service was in turmoil when a misprone World War II bomb was discovered at the Gare du Nord station in Paris.

And last July, SNCF said he was a victim of “some malicious acts” after fires were intentionally launched along several highway lines, forcing service cancellations and affecting around 800,000 passengers.
