Above is the first episode of Euronews’ new debate show The Ring, which aims to bring the atmosphere of the European Parliament to your sofa.
As you know, the 720 elected members of the European Parliament regularly meet in the chambers of Strasbourg and Brussels, where debates are often heated.
The first episode features center-right German MP David McAllister and left-wing Belgian MP Mark Botenga. They touched on topics from workers’ rights to the geopolitics of EU enlargement, discussed live in front of a large audience at Euronews’ EU Enlargement Summit in Brussels.
This first edition of “The Ring” was anchored by Maeve McMahon and produced by Luis Albertos Altarejos, Nicos Michos and Amaia Echevarria.
