Resort Review: Regent Porto Montenegro
It was almost by chance that I checked into Regent Porto Montenegro. I was invited to speak at the Spark Media Conference and before I knew it I was flying on the other side of the world. Regent Porto Montenegro was where I hosted the conference. But it soon became more than just a business trip as I decided to stay for two more weeks.
I booked a 2 week stay instead of just 2 days Montenegro. I arrived without any plans (other than the meeting, of course). I ended up staying at Regent Porto Montenegro for a wonderful 7 nights. This hotel truly became my home for a week!
Regent is a great place to base yourself and explore the surrounding towns. Southern Montenegro has a lot to see and do. It would take at least a week to see them all. Two weeks is enough time to explore the entire country.

The hotel is new and you can tell. No expense was spared in the construction of this luxurious hotel, which opened in 2014. It was to be the first of its kind on the southwest coast of Montenegro. But aside from the obvious luxuries, what really made my stay memorable was the staff. There were always smiles everywhere and most people knew my name. Every time I passed the reception, I stopped to have a quick chat with the staff.

The rooms at Porto Montenegro are large and you don’t have to bring anything with you. Amenities such as bath salts and body scrubs are also available. In addition, they were very warm and welcoming to my life on the road. Nespresso machine.

Eating at the Regent
Breakfast is included in your room rate and is not to be missed. A delicious buffet breakfast is the guarantee we all need to have a good day. Fortunately, I found that the Regent has just that. We offer a rich buffet with hot and cold items (croissants, granola, breakfast tarts, etc.). But what really impresses is the a la carte menu. Truffle eggs? Yes, please!
returned to Murano Restaurant For both lunch and dinner during our stay. The menu is reasonably priced considering the level of service and food. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, we recommend stopping by for dinner.
The Gourmet Corner Bakery on the side of the hotel is where I spent most of my days. Every day, I sat down, ordered a coffee and a croissant, and worked on my laptop. Be sure to order the carrot cake (you can thank me later).

During my week-long stay (probably the longest I’ve ever stayed in the same location, let alone the same hotel), I made use of all the facilities. This includes a 24-hour gym, nail salon, spa, two pools, and my favorite, room service. What could be better than ordering a carb-filled pasta dish at 11pm?

Book your stay:
Accommodation rates start from 350 euros for 1 bedroom and Suite 620 euros.
For an iconic Regent experience, head to the hotel’s Venetian Wing. Room 411 offers stunning views of the shops and marina below. Room 415A, on the other hand, has a direct view of the entire marina, perfect for watching the best sunsets. This was personally my favorite room view (after trying both).
