Chedi Rustica Bay
During my two weeks in Montenegro, I became familiar with the southwest coast. After spending a week in Porto Montenegro and another week in Perast and Kotor, I headed to Rustica Bay and checked into the Chedi Hotel.
Rustica Bay is a new development and an exciting location at that. Montenegro’s coastline continues to see a boom in new real estate, and the government is careful to preserve Montenegro’s heritage by putting in place building regulations that require new buildings to look inherently old.

The Chedi Hotel is brand new and one of only a handful of businesses currently operating in Rustica Bay, but it’s rapidly changing for the summer season and beyond. The resort is tucked away in a tranquil spot on the bay, yet only a 20-minute drive from Tivat Airport, offering direct access to London.

This hotel has both indoor and outdoor infinity swimming pools, giving it a more resort feel and attracting more families than solo or business travelers. For those traveling with children, this hotel offers family-friendly services that will make you feel like you’re at a resort anywhere in the world. Many rooms are apartment-style and include cooking facilities. Plan ahead as there is only one small supermarket. Rustica Bay With early closing time. We also found ourselves eating there every night at the hotel’s “The Spot” restaurant, which had an extensive menu and great vegetarian options.
The spa at The Chedi is probably the best day spa in the entire area, and the hotel gym is one of the best I’ve been to in a long time. There was also a large indoor pool next to the gym, which was often a relaxing place with few guests.
