Oleksandr Usyk has once again become the indisputable heavyweight boxing world champion after beating Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

The 38-year-old Ukrainian scored a victory in the fifth round with a left hook on the chin of his younger opponent, holding the WBA, WBC and WBO belts, regaining the IBF belt he had vacated more than a year ago.

When asked about the victory, Usyk hinted that this was just the beginning, saying that he was still a “young man” and “38 is just the start.” He named Tyson Fury, Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker as their next opponents. Jake Paul threw his hat into the ring.

“I’m going to continue boxing and training, but now I can’t say who my next opponent will be,” Usyk said at his press conference.

Usyk (24-0, 15 Kos) defeated Dubois (22-3, 21 Kos) for the second time in two years and became the latest British fighter alongside Fury and Joshua, who lost twice to Usyk, the uncontested world champions as cruisers before gaining weight six years ago.

DuBois gave Joshua a spectacular knockout victory in his previous fight at Wembley last September. However, he was unable to gather the same success as USYK.

Talked to boxing website Dazn, and Dubois said he gave him everything he had.

“I won’t take credit from that guy, I’ll come back,” he added.

The 27-year-old hoped to become the first British heavyweight to hold all major belts since Lennox Lewis more than 25 years ago. DuBois had inherited the IBF title that USYK had vacant last year when the Ukrainians chose to concentrate on a rematch with Fury.

When asked if he thought he was one of the greatest sportsmen of all time, Usaku instead quoted discipline and said “No.”

“I have no motivation. I have discipline. My motivation is temporary,” he said.
