This series has been really fun so far, but it gets even more interesting with a trip to Catalonia’s crown jewel: Barcelona. With color and charm around every corner, there’s so much to see here that you’ll almost certainly want to come back. If you only have a few days in Barcelona, get ready to hit the road because there’s so much to see, do, eat and drink here in Gaudí’s city. Here’s a complete list of things to do in Barcelona.

Complete Barcelona Bucket List
1. Full of energy at the Boqueria market
To soothe your flight (any excuse will do), head straight to the La Boqueria market and buy a fresh juice for 2 euros (give or take). There are lots of goodies to stock up on here, but the fresh juices are out of this world.
2. See Gaudi’s masterpiece live
Museums are great, but there’s nothing in the world like Barcelona’s open-air museum filled with works of art by Gaudi himself. The city is literally full of his great works, but you might want to start with La Pedrera, Casa Vicens, and Casa Batlló.
3. Visit the Picasso Museum
Understanding the connection between Picasso and Barcelona explains a lot of what you need to know about Picasso’s formative years. The museum is open every day except Monday. From 9am to 7pm.

4. Pin, pin, pin!
One of the best things you can do while in Barcelona is definitely eat. Lots of great food to eat during your stay. Tapas is a favorite food because you can eat it in small portions and enjoy the different flavors and dishes that are served afterwards. The best idea to ensure you eat delicious food is to enjoy a local tapas walking tour one evening. You won’t regret it.

5. Check out the view from Park Guell
Perhaps the most iconic image is Barcelona A representative of the social media era is Park Guell. This public park overlooks the city and is home to some of Gaudi’s most impressive works (though there are plenty more around the city to check out!)

Las Ramblas, Barcelona’s main thoroughfare, is full of entertainment, shopping, good food, and little hidden gems off the main street.

Although Italian in origin, this Catalan cannelloni deserves its own title. Find it at Cerveceria Catalana.

If you’re itching for a Sunday stroll or just want to escape the hustle and bustle of Barcelona, head to Ciutadella Park for a green wonderland. There’s also a zoo!
12. Hike to Montjuic
For completely free and stunning views of the city, head to Montjuic.

13. Casa Batlló
Technically I’ve already mentioned this (it’s also one of Gaudí’s great works), but it’s worth mentioning on its own because it’s actually an amazing sight. You can’t miss this.
14. Watch a flamenco show
If you want to learn a little about the local culture, book an evening flamenco show. It’s so much fun.

15. Take a day trip to Montserrat
If you want to get away from the city for a day, a trip to Montserrat is well worth it. It’s the most popular day trip from Barcelona, so many other travelers also take it, but the views from the top are spectacular.
