A guide to Bruges
Arrived in Bruges
You may arrive at Bruges, the main station. Preload Google Maps or follow the signs (and crowds) towards the town centre. The city is best explored on foot or by bike, so getting lost is half the fun. As picturesque as this, a city, does not harm you going to a place without a map or seeing where you are caught up in it. If that helps, Bellfree Tower is a great reference point to look up and find your way back to the centre of town.
When to visit
Bruges is one of the most visited cities in Belgium. Other most visited cities are Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent. But if I dare to say that, Bruges is the most memorable. If you don’t like the crowd, choose autumn or winter visit. If you are visiting summer You can then expect to experience the crowds in Bruges. spring But it’s not another popular season, but rather a chaotic summer, and adds a fresh floral aesthetic. There are no really bad times to visit Bruges, but each season has its pros and cons.
How long will you stay?
