Oudegracht is the main canal that passes through Utrecht, with several small canals bent throughout the city. There are many ways to experience the canal. If you feel like you’re a little more adventure, there are kayaking and paddle boats that you can rent along the Oudegracht, allowing you to create a beautiful way to spend the day. There are routes that allow you to loop through the city or, alternatively, head to suburban areas (also lead you to the pancake house!)
True Dutch coffee shop
Looking for a coffee shop in the Netherlands can be a bit of a cultural fake. Is it a coffee shop or a “coffee” shop? However, the subtle aroma surrounding the culture boat ensures you are not wrong in this case. Utrecht’s most surrounding unique coffee shops are literally on a boat, and find themselves at home on one of Utrecht’s canals. Play board games and read books in the afternoon. Film Cafe – Located in an old warehouse, they regularly have films, host markets and discos.
Soybeans – Located in Utrecht’s attempts on the beach, it is always packed into a good summer day.
