Osaka Castle

One of Japan’s most famous landmarks, Osaka Castle is a must-see while you’re in Osaka. The castle played a major role in Japan’s unification in the 16th century, occupying about a square kilometre of space with three impressive moats surrounding the castle, protecting it from enemies.

Dombolistriet Food

Dotonbori is generally considered a foodie paradise and is considered the second arrival. You’ll see (or smell) right away! This street is packed with food stalls from a variety of food stalls. They mainly sell takayama (octopus balls), okanoyaki (delicious pancakes), ramen, sushi and a variety of sweets. The streets really come back to life after 5pm and until the evening. Get ready to brush your shoulders just like locals and visitors! This street feels like the heart of Osaka after it gets dark!

Stay: Yamatoya Ryokan

If you are staying in Osaka for just one night, be sure to book a central location. I prefer to stay at the local Yoko for something special. I checked in to stay in Osaka Yamatoya Ryokan. If you want to be near the hustle, this is a great choice Dombori street. I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We also enjoyed traditional breakfast and dinner during our stay.
