Check-in: Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong

Must read

One of the most fashionable hotels in Hong Kong has recently undergone a major renovation. Landmark Mandarin Oriental. To celebrate, the hotel kindly invited me to experience the hotel and the city. Hong Kong has always been one of my favourite cities, so it was difficult to spend a few days! If you find yourself in Hong Kong and are looking for something special, here’s a little more about my experience to help you stay!

Check-in: Landmark Mandarin Oriental

Checking in to a hotel like the landmark Mandarin Oriental is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and you need to pinch yourself to make sure you know what’s really happening. I wiped my feet off the plane from Melbourne. I whispered to the hotel representatives in a hotel buggy, travelled through Hong Kong’s huge (and I’m a huge) international airport, passing through customs and immigrants easily. At this point I felt like Anne Hathaway Ala. Princess Diary…What do you think about this?

From there I was greeted by the hotel driver and quickly took me to the hotel to check in immediately. I use this term lightly because there was actually no check-in process of some sort. Rather, I arrived in sync with checked baggage and was taken directly to the room by a hotel representative. Fancy!

The whole stay from this point was similar to something from a fairy tale book. Luxurious spa treatments, a luxurious (and very private) spa area nearby, awakening the city views and a luxurious dinner at the hotel’s famous 2 Michelin-dyed restaurant. amber.

Breakfast in bed, someone?

I don’t know about you, but I’m a big old-fashioned breakfast sucker in bed. As a blogger, I find myself constantly pounding my laptop, so I love the time and place I can feel comfortable. On my first morning in Hong Kong, I was woken up by the heavy rain. I’m talking about a completely blown away, chaotic, noisy, uncomfortable thunderstorm, why should I surge into bed for an hour?

I ordered a selection of breakfast pastries (sin of committing a crime), fried eggs and granola parfaits. The lesson I learned from the morning wasn’t pouring coffee into my bed!

Special touch of Mandarin Oriental

Anyone who has followed my blog for a while will know that Mandarin Oriental is one of my favorite hotel brands. I have been with them throughout Europe and Asia, but many of these hotel stays are one of my most memorable trips.

I always find that the staff at Mandarin Oriental have an extra distance to make it unforgettable. From delicious birthday cakes in Paris to a rose petal bath on this trip to Hong Kong, I’ve always been delighted and amazed by the MO experience.

All hotel staff should remember and greet guests by name and remember their coffee orders. Place special touches in your room, such as pastries or chocolate. That seems to be just the beginning! When I returned to my room every day, it was a bit of a surprise to welcome me – whether it was my cute panda bear or my favorite ice cream tub (key to my heart!)

Location: Central Hong Kong

The landmark Mandarin Oriental is located in central Hong Kong and, as the name suggests, is a fab location for finding yourself in Hong Kong. To simplify it for first-time visitors, Hong Kong is commonly referred to as two important areas within the port: Hong Kong Island and Korea. The hotel is located in the former, very close to the harbor and offers fantastic sunset views from the waterfront.

Near the hotel is a peak tram that leads to my favorite view in Hong Kong. Peak (very well known, but can’t beat the classics!)

The surrounding area features both local boutiques and international fashion brands. We highly recommend taking a walk around Pottinger Street for a more localized experience, such as Man Mo Temple or Cat Street, to take a further walk in that direction.
