I will not deny that in Europe I have my heart in many ways. From the moment I stepped onto the continent, I’ve had many times biting at Lemale’s croissants, scattering pieces of my heart around this continent. And I am sure Europe always calls me home. However, you cannot choose only a few of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
Europe is full of fascinating cities. From capitals like Budapest and Prague In a small city Aresund and Used. There were many decisive moments, “aha!” the moment I experienced on solo adventures all over Europe. If you’re like me and are looking for the best, you’ve come to the right place. This is my definitive list of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
Updated in April 2023.

The most beautiful cities in Europe
1. Florence, Italy
The capital of Italy’s Tuscany region is generally considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. After a few visits over the years, I have to say I sincerely agree. Florence There is a large living history of the Renaissance period. When you look in every direction and try to soak it all, you are allowed to give yourself a whiplash! Beyond the Cathedral and Ponte Vecchio, make time to get off the main tourist boulevard. As soon as you walk along one of the many bridges, the whole other world awaits. Outside the city centre, you can discover parks, libraries and small art galleries.

2. Vienna, Austria
There are few cities that can compare to the beauty of Paris. Vienna It’s one such city that comes close. It is described to me as a cleaner version of the French capital and I have visited both many times, so I cannot argue about it. But the culture of coffee houses is my favorite aspect of Vienna. It has a way of transporting you to the previous era. But somehow, it is also lovingly welcomed with open arms. Even among younger generations, coffee houses are trending!

3. Edinburgh, Scotland
I’ve said it before, and I’ve been waiting for it many times, Edinburgh must be one of the most underrated cities in Europe, if not the most. Before you arrive, there is something very magical about this city that will acquire the hearts of many, almost instantaneously or in my case. Bonus: There are lots Harry Potter’s Place In the city. This is where JK Rowling herself wrote many of her works in the cafe, and is inspired by locations throughout Edinburgh.

4. Prague, Czech Republic
Prague It is undoubtedly one of the most attractive cities to visit the world. With a unique mix of Gothic, Romanesque and Renaissance architecture, the city has endless beauty. The old town is always bustling with visitors. Therefore, if you are trying to escape from the crowd, then go down the beaten path. Many of my favorite discoveries in Prague are not found in the guidebook.

5. Munich, Germany
Visiting Germany for the first time is an Eastern feast for the senses. But if you’re looking for the most beautiful German cities to visit, look no further than Munich. This romantic city in southern Germany is characterized by its beer halls, café culture and fascinating architecture that make the city beautiful despite the changing seasons. All year round, this is one of the top picks of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

6. Bruges, Belgium
Used It’s a very beautiful city, you’ll be allowed to think you’re in a book of real stories. It is generally considered as As The charm of the old world of Bruges, the most beautiful city in all of Europe, truly has the fact that most travelers are not often imitated in cities when they know its existence, but somehow it can retain its charm.

7. Verona, Italy
When you arrive in Verona, you may faint with great distrust and feel very unbelieved about how a city can become so beautiful in such a casual, cool girl-like way. Verona It is said to be the birthplace of Romeo and Juliet (although it is worth mentioning that this is a controversial claim), but you can quickly see how the rumors started when you spend more than five minutes there.

8. Annessy, France
Annessy It’s like a postage town you think doesn’t exist in real life, but speaking from experience is that it’s located in the southeast of France, it’s even more beautiful (incredible, I know!), the city overlooking Lake Annessy and not far from the Alps, so you can definitely say it leaves a pinchmee background and makes it even more etheric.

9. Budapest, Hungary
An equally lovely city BudapestIt’s no wonder that Hungarian capital has become a hot spot for travelers who loop around Europe. A train ride just three hours from Vienna, Budapest is an essential stop in Central Europe, not only for its unique and charming history, but also for its grandeur and beauty that rivals even Paris. Many of the attractions are centered around the Danube, so although the city is vast, it is mostly a walk. Adventure across the river towards Buda and visit Castle Hill and the Fishermen’s Fortress for the best views of the city from above.

10. Barcelona, Spain
It didn’t take long to fall in love Barcelonaone of Europe’s most vibrant cities. It is filled with colours, spectacular Gaudi architecture and some of the best foods you can find across Europe (patatas bravasu anyone!?). There is a lot of love in this city. As far as beauty is concerned, you can’t beat the endless architectural wonders of Barcelona. I rent a van in Barcelona and go see the wonders of the city with my friends.

11. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam It is one of the most visited cities in Europe and has good reason to say. Once known as the world’s weed capital (what followed California’s legalization and lawsuits has dulled it a bit), Amsterdam has a vigorous charm that magnetically attracts young travelers. This is one of the most beautiful cities in all of Europe, as it has canals and famous canal houses.

12. Paris, France
If you’ve been to this blog before, you’re my obsession Paris It’s authentic. As authentic as it gets. If you can see Paris through the lens of the 1950s, you will fall in love with the city of light, filled with culture, art and living literary history, through the many cafes, bars, streets and sidewalks that appeared in the works of Lost Generation.

13. Greece, Mykonos
Mykonos It’s one of the cities that took me to love or not, but for some reason it took me a while to visit Greece. This party centre is as fun as it is beautiful, but for the best of Mykonos, be sure to explore in the early hours of the morning before the crowds head to the streets.

14. Valletta, Malta
I didn’t spend enough time Malta But I’m itchy to come back. The country is filled with beautiful architecture, impressive history and some of the most beautiful locals you will encounter. They are proud to call Malta home and cannot wait to share it with you. Valletta, the capital, is at the heart of the country, and founded in 1500, is as old as it looks.

15. Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen It is one of the most beautiful seaside cities and is as classic as Scandinavian cities. A collection of colorful sea homes, Nyhaven is one of the most photo-taking locations in Europe and, for good reason, it looks too beautiful! However, there are many more cities to discover when you try out the city’s streets. Castles, whimsical gardens and Danish pastries are just the beginning.

16. Stockholm, Sweden
When I visited Stockholm For the first time I knew it wasn’t the last one. The Swedish capital is so attractive and quaint that it would be allowed to forget that this is a city of almost a million inhabitants. The city contains 14 islands, so many of them are surrounded by water. It is connected by a bridge and illuminated comfortably in the sun.

17. Tallinn, Estonia
Tallinn European fairy tale town: You are the only city you are simple, surrounded by things that feel magical, no matter what turn within the walls of the old town. There is the first original chemist selling unicorn dust.

18. Aresund, Norway
When you hear people talk about the cleanest cities in Norway, you don’t really hear what they say Aresund. I’m changing that. I had Bergen on my bucket list for quite some time, so I was surprised to see Aresund’s incredible art nouveau architecture. And frankly, I was left unsure that I didn’t trip it early. Rebuilt after the fire in 1904, the city was able to easily preserve its reliability and appeal.

19. Spain, Seville
Like most cities above the waters, Seville has a sense of romanticism about it. The city is set up along the Guadalquivir River, characterized by narrow, winding streets and Arabic influences. This culture and for centuries it has been one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and certainly one of the three most beautiful cities in Spain.

20. Zurich, Switzerland
Zurich It is one of the most beautiful cities in all of Switzerland, and it’s not difficult to see why, just looking at the photos. If this city is attractive with attention to detail that is unique.

twenty one. Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon It is one of my favourite cities in Western Europe and has become one of the most popular and trending cities in recent years (partly thanks to its affordable prices!), but it explodes with colour and life at every turn, especially near the Alfama.

twenty two. Strasbourg, France
I didn’t expect to love Strasbourg As much as I did, I thought of it as a stopover city on my way to Colmer in the Alsace area. However, this must be one of the most underrated and most beautiful cities in Europe. The French city, adjacent to Germany, has a unique blend of architecture that you won’t find anywhere else.

twenty three. Ghent, Belgium
Ghent I’ll steal my heart right away. This university city is interesting. The student population has grown, with old looks, young people at heart, making this a truly enjoyable city. I’m on a short train from Bruges, so if you’re visiting one, I’d argue that you need to visit the other.

twenty four. Italy, Rome
I’ll never forget the first time I visit Rome. It was with my 17 year old father and perhaps the best city I remember most: all the details. We both visited Europe for the first time and were in awe of history. We spent a week exploring the scenery and eating our path in a carbohydrate-induced coma.

twenty five. Dubrovnik, Croatia
Dubrovnik was extremely popular five or six years ago, and has grown in popularity since becoming one of HBO’s main filming locations game of thrones. This city is as beautiful as a postcard with an idyllic place by the sea. This is a combination that can’t be beaten!

26. Warsaw, Poland
Despite being the capital, Warsaw It is not the first city that many travelers think about when visiting Poland. I fell into this trap too, thinking it was Krakow, the only city I wanted to visit for the first time 10 years ago. After all, Warsaw is beautiful (if not more) to explore, and has a wonderful old town that is lively and vibrant throughout the Christmas period.

27. Reykjavik, Iceland
Reykjavik It was much smaller than I expected, but more beautiful than I imagined. People in particular are very friendly and proud of their country and want to learn where you came from and what brought you to Iceland. Wandering the streets on foot is the best way to do this. It’s where magic happens, so make sure you get lost!

28. Venice, Italy
This list is not complete without Veniceseeking the most visited and cities in Europe. It is said that sinking cities have time limits, so make sure to make it a priority if you want to see it before you go!

29. Antwerp, Belgium
When I arrived Antwerp Frankly, I hadn’t heard anything about it so I didn’t know what to expect. After all, this was one of my favourite cities to discover in Belgium. It’s full of young people, very fashionable and fun to ride a bike. The city centre is beautiful to walk around, so you can spend at least a few days.

30. London, UK
London It has always been one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and there is no denying that it has won the title every year as one of the most visited cities in the world. There’s a lot to do with royal fans (including myself) to support the royal family. Or you can spend a few hours pretending to be gorgeous on the streets of Mayfair (not a bad way to spend time if you are!)
