ISITITS is not a secret I’m head over in love with Switzerland. It’s hard to beat the rolling hills, impressive scenic railways, delicious pastries and ski destinations. Switzerland is a winter playground, but it also has many to offer year-round when visiting beautiful cities and towns that dot the entire country.
This is my fourth visit to Switzerland and I now have seen more countries than I had imagined on my first visit a few years ago, so I feel it is my duty to share my findings to help you plan your Swiss adventures and make the most of your trip!
The best city to visit
Bern
The Swiss capital is literally as pretty clean as a postcard when viewed from above, and the old town centre never fails to impress travelers in search of its typical Swiss experience. There are many restaurants here in Bern, but my favorite dish is its endless choice from a patisserie perspective. chair. Swiss hot chocolate is a great way to warm up during the cooler months. Meanwhile, Bern asks what direction he is heading towards his local area and introduces some great ice cream.
Zurich
As my personal favorite, Zurich Pastel colored dreams are not only equivalent, but when you ask me, they are more beautiful than postcards. The winding alleys of the old town, the front of the charming little shop, the smell of the nearby area kRipples And the beauty of the Rimat River flowing through the town centre is all reason enough to visit this gorgeous Swiss town. Switzerland has the largest population of 380,000.

Lucerne
Characterized as a background by lakes and iconic snowy mountains, Lucerne surpasses one of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities. The city is compact in size and has one of the most friendly atmospheres of all picks, making a great pit stop for a day or two to appreciate Swiss hospitality.
Lausanne
Located on Lake Geneva and on a train just off the city of the same name, Lausanne has a more medieval atmosphere than anywhere else on the list, and guarantees it as another Swiss beauty to visit on a trip. Whether you visit only one day between cities or as a day trip from Geneva, Lausanne is sure to please your eyes!
Zermatt
As Switzerland’s most famous ski resort and the most famous ski resort in all of Europe, Zermatt It’s as classic and cliché as they come. The small town is covered in thick, snowy blankets throughout the winter, but what Zermatt is so popular is that it is possible to ski all year round, given the high and support of artificial snow machines in the Alps. Avoid peak seasons if possible, especially through Christmas and New Year celebrations, as prices are empty and availability are low.
sunny
Another great ski destination that will bring you back to life in the summer is Arosa. A short train journey from Tulle. This small village has plenty to offer by winter activities, but if you decide to visit outside of the ski season, you’ll have the opportunity to kick back and relax on rolling hills, lush greenery and one of the many alpine spas. My favourites are the Tschuggen Hotel (the best Alpine Spa in town and the best restaurant in Rabetta) and the nice Alpine Spa with lower important options.
St. Moritz
I first visited St. Moritz in the summer a few years ago and quickly fell in love with gorgeous mountain views, lake views on the balcony, friendly locals and the range of hiking available in the nearby area.
Lugano
Located in southern Switzerland near the Italian border, Lugano is a gorgeous small town with a lake that feels like he’s crossed into Italy. Located on Lake Lugano, this city is very picturesque and picturesque when traveling between Switzerland and Italy, or vice versa.
Basel
Located on the Rhine River, Basel is a gorgeous insight into another Swiss neighbour, Germany. The city is also adjacent to France, with unique architecture, making it one of the most unique cities to visit in Switzerland and certainly one of the most interesting cities. Plus, yes, it’s gorgeous!
Geneva
Geneva is located in Switzerland, where French speaks. Geneva further reveals its appeal in appearance (usually recognized as an international business city). Though not as picturesque as many other places on this list, Geneva offers the best place to stop between Italy and France, allowing for a short visit to Switzerland. Otherwise, if you have time to reveal the hidden beauty of Geneva, you will find yourself lying on the back streets of the old town!
